TREK awarded Technical assistance services for the implementation of e-Government applications to Urban Planning departments in all the 54 Hellenic Prefectures. The project goal is to provide electronic services in every single Urban Planning Department in Greece. Within the project scope is the delivery of GIS systems, along with digital maps, the creation of spatial data bases and the retrieval of street and town planning data in digital and multi-vector format. Project duration is 16 months and budget at 451.000 euro.
Urban Planning Departments face a miltidiscipline and peculiar task to maintain and serve huge amount of information dealing with Urban planning engineering, as well as relative statuory and legal issues. Since real estate and construction business is the back bone of the Hellenic economy, the creation of a friendly environment and easy to use set of tools, using Information Technology, towards Urban Planning, is a major requirement. Beneficiaries to this initiative are the Regional Authorities across Greece, the Ministry of Interior(GR), individual citizens and engineers, as well as professionals dealing with the Urban Planning and Civil issues. TREK will access the full spectrum of Technical services towards the Contracting Authority and the Beneficiary, namely the secure of project's time and budget within the maximum limits of quality of work and performance.
