Technical Assistance for the technological modernisation of the Hellenic Police (Police-on-line).

Following an international tender, TREK Consulting was awarded a 16-month contract for the provision of technical assistance for technological modernisation and related activities for the Hellenic Policy.
The project has a budget of 597.000 Euro, and concerns the technological upgrading and modernization of the Greek police force through the realisation of three sub-projects with a total budget of 25 Million Euro:

Subproject 1 : putting the Hellenic Police online, providing telecommunication equipment and networking services for the Police Stations nation-wide.
Subproject 2 : peripheral equipment, computers and information systems for about 1.300 Police Stations
Subproject 3 : IT applications for the provision of improved services to the public.

In addition, IT applications will be researched and designed (current situation analysis, needs analysis, operational and technical specifications, procurement tender documents) for the services to citizens in their transactions with the Hellenic Police, the regional Police Stations, the various police departments (eg traffic police, aliens' bureau, and so on).


Three other studies are also carried out within the same project:

- study of impact and evaluation of changes within the Hellenic Police;
- risk assessment and security plan;
- publicity plan and dissemination of information to citizens.
