TREK assigned Technical assitance project to 456 e-gov Portals for local Authorities in Greece

TREK Consulting awarded a 20-month contract for the provision of technical assistance and expertise, for the development of Internet portals for 456 Local Authorities all over Greece. The project administered by the Information Society, Governmental National Body  (http://www.ktpae.gr/)  has a budget of 790.000 euros. The project is divided in five (5) subprojects, each one of the subprojects  covering each of the five big geographical areas of Greece : Attica, Peloponessos and Western Greece, Macedonia and Thrace, Sterea Ellada and Thessaly and Epirus, Aegean islands and Crete.
Each of the five subproject facilitates :
·          the design and development of internet portals for major Municipalities in the area. E-government activities for G2C (government to citizens), as well as G2B (Government to Businesses) are to be provided as services to citizens and local interested Parties such as local self governance Bodies, business Associations and sectoral Social and business communities.
·          the design and smooth roll-out of the relevant hardware and telecom infrastructure.
·          the proviision of services and consulting for the optimization of the resources used and the interoperability with other internal and external IT systems.
·          Studies covering risk assesment and security, impact and valuation analysis, publicity and dissemination plans.
