TREK to design plan for Business Park / Incubator in Central Greece
TREK has been awarded the design of a feasibility and viability study dealing with the creation of a Business Park / Incubator within the geographical limits of Central Greece (Region of Sterea Ellada). Among other topics of the study is the examination of alternative locations for the establishment of the Park, as well as the detailed components comprising the associated feasibility and viability plan. Beneficiaries of the project are the business community of the region and relative business support structures of entrepreneurship and innovation. The 100.000 euro project expects to boost local economy and embrace mobility of entrepreneurship in the region.

e-Services & IT infrastructure for the Prefecture of Grevena, Nortwestern Greece
HYPERTECH SA, the technology & IT arm of TREK Consulting, undertakes the development of a full spectrum e-services and related IT nfrastructure for the benefit of the Prefecture of Grevena and its citizens, a remote area in NorthWestern part of Macedonia, Greece. Duration of the project is 5 months budgeted at 213Keuros.

TREK to draft the 2007-2013 Operational Regional Plan for the Evia (Central Greece) Region
TREK has been awarded the preparation of the Operational Strategic Plan (OP) for the Evia Region, Central Greece, with beneficiary the Association of Local Municipalities. Furthermore, TREK has been awarded the drafting of the OP for the Prefecture of Evia. Both Plans refer to the 4th Framework 2007-2013.

TREK to implement Socio-economic cohesion Technical assistance project to the Region of Central Macedonia
TREK has awarder Technical assistance to the Regional Authority of Central Macedonia, Greece for the development and monitoring of Labor and post-Immigration related policy and action planning. The project, namely IMMENSITY focuses on the social and economic inclusion of legal economic immigrants and repatriatesin destination countries, with specific focus on women population. TREK provided Strategic, scientific and technical advisory services as well as administrative co-ordination. This program is under the funding umbrella of INTERREG IIIB- CADSES.

The 2007-2013 cross border Greece-Bulgaria Strategic Plan appointed to TREK
Within the forthcoming 2007-2013 period, TREK appointed by the CIP INTERREG the design of the Strategic Plan for cross border/common area intiative between Greece and Bulgaria. The program consists of situation analysis, common area SWOT, risk assesment and evaluation, as well as definition of areas of intervention, geographical coverage, budget allocation, cash flow analysis and required operational structures for program realization. Characteristic of this new "cross border" cooperation is the fact that common interest initiatives are to be performed as if it were a unified and single Region of intervention. It is expected that Southern Bulgaria and Macedonia & Thrace will benefit from this initiative, both on the Public interest and the Private SME & Innovation side. Submission of the Plan for approval by the Commission is expected early summer this year. Project sponsors are the Ministry of Economy (GR), the Ministry of Regional Development (BG) and the DG Regio (E.C).

The Government of Bosnia & Herzegovina assigns its National Employment Policy to TREK
As of February 2007, TREK has been assigned the work to design and implement Bosnia's National Employment Policy reform. The 1,1 million euro project foresees the development of employment policy tools at National level and Strategic formulation of specific action plan for the reduction of unemployment rate. It is estimated that Bosnia has an average 30% unemployment rate, with 25% of the population below the poverty line. Project goal is to reduce at substantial volume those indices.

Success continued for "a best practice E.U. awarded project"
Following success of a Transnational E.U. project, promoting access of SMEs to the Information knowledge (acr: EMBRACE), TREK awarded expansion of the best practice project (acr: EMBRACE II). TREK is the lead partner of the 1.8M Euro project, aiming towards the SME access to the Infomation Society, especially those in distant and remote locations all across Europe. Project is promoted by the INTERREG IIIB CADSES initiative.

Restructuring and technological upgrading of the Hellenic Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace
On the 1 st January 2005 TREK Consulting undertook an 18-month assignment to provide Strategic Advice and Technical Support to the Ministry for the identification and examination of the factors influencing the development of Northern Greece and the Balkans, and the creation of functional-technical specifications for an Integrated Information System which will monitor and support development strategy in this region.

Technical assistance to the government & SMEs of Serbia (FRY)
TREK Consulting and its subsidiary HYPERTECH provides technical assistance to the Serbian Government Sector for the creation of an innovative business environment in the country. A set of tools for subsidy programs in the technology sector and a business plan for the cooperation with the International donors' community is part of the project deliverables. At the same time TREK Consulting support the Private sector with the design and operation of a virtual knowledge incubation facility for the Serbian enterprises. The 1.050.000# project is supported by the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and represents the largest bilateral Hellenic development program in the Balkans.Project sucessfully ended by late 2005.

Publicity-raising Activities for OTE's investment in RomTelecom
RomTelecom is the largest foreign investment of the OTE Group, and its largest investment in the Balkans. Prior to 2004, the intrinsic value of RomTelecom and in particular the dynamics of this investment, which has a positive impact on OTE as the main stakeholder, were hardly known to the Greek public.
