Thomas Papapolyzos was born in 1968 in Serres, Northern Greece. In 1990 he received his B.Sc. in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessalonica, Greece. In 1992 he received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute of New York, NYC (direction: Telecommunications Networks and Operational Research). He worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at EBASCO Corp. (NY), a company of Energy and Telecom Projects and Infrastructures, and afterwards as Consultant in Technology Projects for the Hellenic Ministry of Presidency - Department of Research and Planning.
In 1994 he worked with ECON Industries (GR) in the position of the Development Programs Manager, for projects related to IT and Telecom, while he was responsible for the group's cooperation with similar companies abroad.
In 1995 he undertook the Direction of Research & Development Programs in the consulting company OMAS SA (now: Deloitte & Touche).
Since 1995 he is co-founder and President of the Professional Services and Technology company TREK Consulting SA and he coordinates a wide range of projects and consulting services on ICT issues (strategic planning - design - implementation).
In 1997 he established with his brother, HYPERTECH SA, active in information technologies and Enterprise Content Management applications.
He is keynote speaker in Technology and Entrepreneurship Fora, while he frequently releases articles to the press in ICT and Business issues.
Thomas Papapolyzos served as an advisor to numerous Public & Public equivalent Organizations in the field of Innovation, Strategy & Technology.
